Summary

After his divorce, Johnny Light left South City and traveled the world for five years–looking for the right place to die. The wind blew him to Harbour Bay, a lawless city-state South of Singapore where he reunited with private detective Terry Koh. The two became partners at Edel Investigations and took on cases for the downtrodden in the corrupt city. After exposing Lord Nathan Sternwood’s sex scandal, they immediately received another request from the scorned wife, Lady Vivian–her only daughter, Carmen, is being blackmailed. Only five people were privy to the details: both clients, the detectives, and Carmen’s private tutor: a young Italian-Korean girl by the name of Minjeong Cassano.
