Summary
The origin of Argent the Wolf, archenemy of Grendel.
The story takes place over a 300-year arc, from a Native America tribe in Canada through the Revolutionary War up until the 1980s. It explains how Argent got his powers and form from Maslun, god of death, and killed his way through the centuries, ending up as an agent of the police in the modern day. It tells of his few loves, including Wind-in-the-Leaves and Stacy Palumbo. It tells of his enemies, from Eagle Scratch to Hunter Rose.
